in New York State
AltaMAR Laser, in partnership with AltaMAR Laser and Control, has
begun operations in Batavia NY with Daniel Manhardt as the General
Manager. Dan has been in the laser business as an applications
and service specialist for over 20 years.
AltaMAR Laser in
New York operates three Laserdyne Model 780 Systems; two
are BeamDirector Models for true 3D laser cutting & welding,
and one is a Model 780 system which has been upgraded and
enhanced for tube cutting. With specialties in laser tube
cutting and 5-axis cutting and welding, AltaMAR Laser in New York
has the equipment and experience to process your tubular or
3D parts quickly and accurately.
Tube cutting with lasers offers several advantages
over conventional methods: handling is reduced because all shapes and features
are cut under program control - and
all in one setup. No need to have separate setups for end
cuts, holes, slots, etc. Also, ends can be profiled in any number of
ways, including fishmouth, angle cuts, or notched.
3D laser cutting has the advantage
reducing the requirements for tooling and fixturing. Parts can
be quickly and easily trimmed at a much lower cost than conventional
methods.
